The Archdiocese of Minneapolis is a diocese of the Church of Aloia. The Archdiocese is the third oldest and most populous diocese of the Aloian state church. During the Protestant Reformation, the Archbishop of Minneapolis was one of the most ardent supporters of Martin Luther and his Reformation efforts. The Archdiocese of Minneapolis only covers the city of Minneapolis and the inner-ring suburbs, but Minneapolis' ecclesiastical province covers the entire state of Anglia.
The Archdiocese of Minneapolis has 4 suffragan dioceses: Owatonna, Plymouth, St. Cloud, and St. Paul. Owatonna covers the northeastern quarter of the state, St. Cloud covers the northwestern quarter of the state, Plymouth covers the western urban area, and St. Paul covers the eastern urban area.
The current Archbishop of Minneapolis is Richard Mobley.
