Augsburg is an Aloian city in Saxony. Augsburg is one of Aloia's oldest cities, being established in the first century BC as Augusta Vindelicorum. Augsburg is located at Saint Peter's Channel. The city is well-known for being the namesake of the Augsburg Confession, the statement of belief for the Church of Aloia and all other Lutheran bodies. Augsburg College is named for the Augsburg Confession, and in turn for the city of Augsburg.
