The Cathedral of the Resurrection is a Church of Aloia cathedral in downtown Gothenburg, the historical capital of the Gotaland region in Svea. Construction on the cathedral was completed in 2017. A fire destroyed the old Cathedral of the Resurrection in 2003. The Archdiocese of Gothenburg aimed to build a structure similar to the old cathedral with modern construction.
The Cathedral of the Resurrection is the seat of the Archbishop of Gothenburg, who is responsible for the ecclesiastical district covering the three dioceses that cover the Gotaland region.
