Namira (Eurasian: Namira; Dovazhul: Nah Rah), whose sphere is the ancient darkness, is the Daedric Prince of sundry dark and shadowy spirits. She is associated with spiders, insects, slugs and other repulsive creatures which inspire mortals with an instinctive revulsion. She is also known as the Mistress of Decay, the Devourer of the Dead, and the Spirit Daedra. She also is the patron of cannibals, taking pleasure in the consumption of mortals. Namira's plane of Oblivion is known as the Scuttling Void.
Namira is the hated nemesis of Meridia and Arkay, and is widely considered one of the most repulsive Daedra. Her worship is banned not just in Cortoriacum but also in the entirety of the Eurasian Empire due to her connections with cannibalism.
During the early days of Christianity, Deosians and Maiorists believed that Christians practicing communion were in fact worshiping Namira, as the ritualistic consumption of the "blood and body" of Christ was believed to be cannibalism. This, coupled with the Christian refusal to worship Maiorist gods, led in part to the early hatred for Christians.
