Zumbrota is the capital and third most populous city of the Kingdom of Aloia. As of 2010, the city's estimated population was 2.7 million, with a metropolitan area population of 7.3 million. Zumbrota is the capital of Victoria. The city lies the banks of the Zumbro River in the area surrounding its outlet at the Hanover Straits.

Founded near historic ancient settlements as a trading and transportation center, the city rose to prominence when it was named the capital of Aloia in 1849. Zumbrota grew exponentially after the relocation of the government. The Zumbrota-Hanover-Red Wing metropolitan area currently covers almost all of Victoria and extends into Wessex and Anglia.

The center of Aloian government, Senate Hill, and the Cathedral of the Four Evangelists, the seat of the Archdiocese of Zumbrota, are located in downtown Zumbrota. Zumbrota is also known for hosting the 1977 Treaty of Zumbrota talks at Heiligenburg Palace
