The Flag of Aloia is a white Baltic cross that extends to the edges of the flag upon a solid green background. This cross represents Christianity and Aloia's predecessor state, the Baltic League. The design and colors of the Aloian flag were inspired by the Flag of the Baltic League, which was a white cross on a blue field. Green and white have been used as the royal colors of the Kings of Minnesota since at least since King Magnus III's royal coat of arms of 1275, thus the green became the national color of Aloia. Red has been an optional third color since at least the Protestant Reformation, and a variant flag consisting of a red cross on a white cross on a green field is prevalant among Aloia's right-wing groups.
