George Nelson (2 February 1843 - 28 April 1923) was an Aloian attorney and politician who served as Chancellor of Aloia from 10 January 1908 until his death on 28 April 1923. He was a Conservative. His Vice Chancellor Charles Evans Hughes took over as Chancellor after his death.

Nelson was born in Huskvarna, in Svea. His father was unknown. He was taken in by the Free Lutheran Church of Aloia after his mother died in the winter of 1847. He received a full education from the Free Lutherans, eventually attending Augsburg College in Minneapolis, where he met his wife Nicola. He began studying to become a Free Lutheran pastor, but as he studied he felt more of a call toward the practice of law.

He began studying law at Augsburg and began working at a law office in Minneapolis after his graduation. After a few years, he returned to Svea and worked at a law office in Uppsala. He then got a seat on the Uppsala City Council. He was appointed Governor General of the Duchy of Svea by Queen Victoria Augusta in 1890. He remained in that position until the death of Queen Victoria Augusta in 1901. He ran for Chancellor of Aloia in the 1904 election, winning and becoming Aloia's 50th Chancellor.

He was re-elected 3 more times. He died during his fourth term, while on a train ride back to his home in Uppsala. His third Vice Chancellor Charles Evans Hughes finished out his fourth term before himself retiring.
