Halbau (Schwazlyrsk: Chälau) is the capital city of the Duchy of Schwaz in southcentral Duresia. It is located in the Schwazer Valley. Halbau lies about half way between Ilanz and Clervau. Halbau is a city with a mountain range on each side of the city.
Halbau is an internationally renowned winter sports centre, it is a very popular ski resort for people from various countries. Halbau is also home for Lyrianism, also known as Church of Lyria.
