John Mark Nelson Sandoval (born 5 August 1963) is an Aloian politician who is currently serving as the Chancellor of Aloia since 10 January 2013 and served as governor of Anglia from 10 January 2007 to 10 January 2013. Nelson is a Christian Democrat. His Vice Chancellor is former Senator Sebastian Gill of Patagonia.

Nelson is the son of former Minneapolis Mayor Eric Nelson and Gloria Sandoval, a daughter of two immigrants to Aloia from the Argentine Republic. He was born in Plymouth, Anglia, a near suburb of Minneapolis. Nelson attended Heritage Bible College in Plymouth, where he met his wife Kathleen. He then went to Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

After graduating from the U of M in 1990, Nelson became actively involved in Anglia politics. Two years after his graduation, he was elected to the Anglia state Senate. He was elected governor of Anglia in 2006, serving until 2012, when he was elected Chancellor of Aloia.

Nelson harshly criticized the 2016 invasion and annexation of Blukon by New Zealand. Nelson is more socially conservative than his predecessor Alma Gillespie. Under his leadership, the CDU abandoned their traditional CDU-SocialDem-Green coalition in favor of a CDU-Conservative government.
