Nordahl is a small city in Svealand. Nordahl is most well-known as the namesake of the Aloian royal house, the House of Nordahl. The connection between the city and the royals is through Gustaf XIII, Prince Consort of Aloia. Gustaf XIII was the 12th Duke of Nordahl and the husband of Queen Victoria Augusta. Aloian law required that the name of the royal family be determined by the father, resulting in the creation of the House of Nordahl when Gustaf XIII's son succeeded Victoria as monarch of Aloia in 1901.
