The Populares (Eurasian: tr. "favoring the people") is a Eurasian political party. It was founded during the time of the Laurentine Republic. Politically left-leaning in ideology, it is seen as the alternative to the Optimates. Traditionally, the Populares are often out of power, due more generally to the conservative nature of the Senate of Eurasia and the Government of Eurasia as a whole.
The Populares hold a number of Proconsular positions and Praetorships, but currently are in the minority in the Senate. The slogan of the party is "Audacibus annue coeptis," which translates as "Look with favor upon a bold beginning.
