The Commonwealth of Tajo is an Aloian state and former region of the Argentine Republic. The capital of Tajo is Tajo City and the largest city is Niwot.

Tajo, like the rest of Argentine, has a history intimately connected to the 21 missions established by priests of the Church of Aloia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Tajo's third largest city, Sacramento, was the capital of the Argentine Republic from 1904 until the Republic dissolved in 2013.

The state is dominated by mountains and forests. Much of the state is set aside in state and national parks, including the renowned Yosemite National Park and mulitple parks around Lake Tajo, the largest of which is Fallen Leaf Lake National Park.
